  • Four finishes to suit your home and budget
  • Straight advice on what'll suit your place

The problem

Your driveway's the first thing people see.

It's also the hardest thing to redo. Pick the wrong finish or the wrong concreter and you're stuck looking at it for the next twenty years.

PROBLEM 01

Flash house, daggy driveway

You've spent a fortune on the build and the concrete out the front looks like an afterthought.

PROBLEM 02

Wrong finish for the job

Nobody explained the options, so you ended up with a finish that shows every tyre mark and oil spot.

PROBLEM 03

Cracks before the first summer

The base and steel got rushed to save a day. It looked right for a few months, then the cracks turned up.

PROBLEM 04

The cheap quote that wasn't

The price looked sharp until you found out what was left out: prep, steel, sealing and the clean-up.

Good concrete starts with picking the right finish.

The fix

Pick your finish. We'll nail the rest.

Every finish has its strengths. Tap through them and see what suits your place. Not sure? We'll tell you straight what we'd pour.

Exposed Aggregate

Texture, grip and street appeal.

  • Hides marks better than plain concrete
  • Grippy underfoot, handy on a sloping driveway
  • Stone mix picked to suit your home

Best forDriveways, sloping blocks and front entries.

Charcoal Concrete

Bold, modern contrast.

  • Looks sharp against brick and black trims
  • Hides stains better than plain
  • Gives a more architectural feel

Best forHomes wanting that darker, modern edge.

Decorative / Coloured / Stencil

More custom, more statement.

  • Adds character
  • Can elevate a basic space
  • Needs proper sealing and maintenance

Best forFeature areas, patios and pool surrounds.

Plain Concrete

Clean, minimal and modern.

  • Works well with contemporary builds
  • Easy to keep looking sharp when maintained
  • Shows marks more than exposed

Best forAlfrescos, side paths and modern homes.

Steel inFinished

Before and after

Drag it. Same driveway.

A steep block, boxed and steeled, then finished in exposed aggregate. Slide the handle to see what's sitting under the stone.

The bit nobody photographs: mesh up on chairs, formwork braced and set-out marked before a single barrow of concrete goes in.

No smoke and mirrors

What you're actually paying for in a concrete quote.

  1. Dig out and baseThe ground cut to level and a proper base under the slab.
  2. FormworkBoxed up square and to height, with the falls set for drainage.
  3. SteelMesh sat up on chairs so it's in the concrete, not under it.
  4. The pour and finishPlaced, screeded and finished by hand, edges and all.
  5. Clean-upFormwork stripped and the site left tidy. Sealing where the finish needs it.

Fair questions

Before you pick up the phone.

Which finish should I go with?

It depends on the house, the slope and how the area gets used. Exposed aggregate and charcoal hide marks better than plain. Stencil makes a statement but needs sealing and upkeep. Send us a photo and we'll tell you what we'd pour.

How much does a new driveway cost?

Size, access, how much digging is needed and the finish you choose all change the price. Send rough measurements and a couple of photos and we'll give you a proper quote, free.

What areas do you cover?

Melbourne, Gippsland and the Bass Coast. Not sure if you're in range? Call 0412 778 553 and we'll tell you straight.

My block is steep. Is that a problem?

No. Sloping driveways are a regular job for us, and exposed aggregate is a good pick for grip on a hill.

Does decorative concrete need looking after?

Stencil and coloured finishes need proper sealing and a bit of maintenance to stay looking sharp. We'll explain exactly what's involved before you choose.

Do you do commercial and civil work?

Yes. Alongside homes we pour footpaths and slabs for builders, developers and civil jobs.
